Podcast Engineer
(Part-Time / On-Call)

Position Overview

Greater Bajío is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Podcast Engineer to support podcast and media productions at our studio. This role is responsible for managing live audio and video recording sessions, ensuring a seamless experience for clients while maintaining our high standards of production quality and customer service.As the first point of contact during recording sessions, the Podcast Engineer plays an important role in creating a welcoming and professional environment for creators, businesses, and community organizations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow in podcast production and media technology, with training provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate podcast recording sessions using professional audio and video equipment.

• Manage audio through the Rodecaster Pro and video production through the Blackmagic Design live switching system.

• Monitor audio levels, video quality, lighting, and overall production throughout each session.* Prepare studio sets and recording spaces before client arrival.

• Welcome clients, assist guests with microphones and equipment, and help create a comfortable recording environment.

• Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise during live sessions.

• Break down and organize equipment after sessions while maintaining studio cleanliness and readiness.* Maintain attention to detail to ensure every recording meets Greater Bajío's quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and professionalism.

• Comfortable working with technology and learning new production systems.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently and remain calm in a live production environment.

• Availability to work flexible, on-call hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in podcasting, audio production, video production, broadcasting, live events, or related fields.

• Familiarity with audio mixers, cameras, lighting equipment, or live production workflows.

• Experience working directly with clients or talent in a production environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move production equipment when needed.

• Ability to set up studio environments, lighting equipment, and podcast sets.

• Ability to stand and move throughout recording sessions.
